Our warranty is designed to protect you against manufacturing faults and defects that you could not have foreseen. But, as with any insurance or warranty, there are a few rules.
Below, we explain when the warranty does not apply.
Damage caused by your own actions
Accidents can happen easily. If you accidentally drop your product, bump it against something, or it gets an unintended 'shower' with coffee? As unfortunate as that is, damage caused by your own actions (or clumsiness) is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
The warranty covers the quality of the product itself, not the accidents that can happen in daily life.
Defects due to incorrect use (not following the manual)
Every product has its own instructions for use. These state exactly what the device can and cannot do. If the product breaks because it has been used in a way not described in the manual, we call this incorrect use.
For example:
- Using a device outdoors that is not waterproof.
- Forcing parts during assembly.
- Ignoring warnings in the safety instructions.
In these cases, it is not a matter of poor product quality, but of user error. That is why, in these situations, the right to warranty lapses.
Our advice
To avoid disappointment, our advice is simple: treat your purchase with care and read the manual thoroughly. That way, you can be sure you are using the product as intended and prevent unnecessary damage.
